Jax is a young billionaire who falls in love with Daniella, a local girl and the sole owner of the bakery "Love & Sweetness." Their love soon fractures when Jax's parents pressure him to give up racing and move to Denmark to take over the family conglomerate. They threaten to strip him of his inheritance if he refuses. Jax tells Daniella he must leave and hopes she will go with him to Denmark. But Daniella firmly refuses; she cannot abandon her family, friends and bakery, and marriage was never part of her plans. She accuses Jax of being selfish, while he mocks her for settling for a mediocre baker's life instead of being with him. Heartbroken, the two break up. Afterward, Jax tries every way to contact Daniella, but she ignores him completely. Five years later, hearing of his father's death, Jax returns to his hometown to take over the family company and begins his journey to win Daniella back. After much effort, she agrees to date him and they reconcile, but Daniella keeps her distance. Tensions rise, and hurtful words are exchanged. Daniella decides they are incompatible and ends things once again.
