Anti-narcotics officer Ma Ri can't shake the mysterious death of her teammate — the scene was staged to look like an overdose, but her instincts say it was murder. When the police refuse to investigate it as a homicide, Ma Ri, consumed by rage, vows to destroy the notorious drug empire of Jia Mei Xin Cle herself. She recklessly infiltrates the underworld, posing as his secretary to stay close to Jia Mei. But the deeper she goes, the more shaken she becomes: the elegant man before her is not the cold-blooded demon she imagined. Behind every dangerous gesture lies a fragility and complexity that leave others unable to look away. Her encounter with Jia Mei's young daughter, Li Li, tears Ma Ri apart even more. The innocent child knows nothing of her father's crimes, and a pure, sincere bond slowly grows between them. As Li Li's pure smile steadily reaches Ma Ri's heart, the struggle between duty and feeling becomes fierce — the evidence in her hands keeps piling up, yet the line inside her heart is quietly dissolving…
