Father Like a Mountain
60 episode · 60/60 tập
Once the feared underworld kingpin of the Tam Bac region, Han Lam Uy hung up his sword and went into hiding, selling pork just so his son Han Phat could live in peace. When a gang of bleached-blond thugs shows up demanding "protection money," his former lieutenant Vuong Duc arrives with bodyguards, and Han Lam Uy's legendary reputation instantly crushes them. Yet just as he admits retiring was for his son's sake, a phone call brings news that Han Phat has caused a major incident. Three hours earlier at a sauna center, Han Phat and his childhood friend Lan Nho were relaxing when Vuong Thong Minh, the richest man's son in Xuan Thanh, came looking for trouble. Adding insult to injury, Vuong Thong Minh's girlfriend is Han Phat's own fiancée, Luu Dong Nhi. Scorning his modest background, the two openly humiliate him. For amusement, Vuong Thong Minh orders Han Phat and Lan Nho thrown into a superheated steam room, intending to silence them for good. Han Lam Uy arrives just in time, easily takes down the henchmen and breaks down the door to rescue them. Refusing to back down, Vuong Thong Minh pulls out a banned gun and threatens them with a game of Russian roulette. Han Lam Uy calmly accepts the challenge and sternly rebukes his arrogance. Just as the trigger is about to be pulled, his father Vuong Duc rushes in with bodyguards, shouting at his son to lower the gun. The atmosphere instantly becomes tense as a tightly drawn wire.
