Tran Tri Y's husband, Le Mac Dinh, a cold and ruthless man, keeps a young woman named Hua Mien, hailed as a pure angel, as his mistress. At a year-end party, when Tran Tri Y objects, she is handed nothing but divorce papers. When she refuses to sign, Le Mac Dinh's pressure grows increasingly merciless, ultimately leading to the deaths of her parents. Waking from the nightmare, Tran Tri Y returns to the moment she first discovers Hua Mien. Heartbroken, she arranges for her parents to move to a new home and resolutely drafts the divorce papers. The only thing still weighing on her mind is to see with her own eyes what kind of "angel" Hua Mien truly is.
