Duy Quang, a mute transgender young man tormented by gender dysphoria, secretly marries Quang Huy, his half-brother and the man he has secretly loved for a long time, as their late grandfather wished. Afraid that a scandal could ruin his standing in high-society in the West, Quang Huy is forced to publicly pose as Hương Tràm's boyfriend. Though he deeply loves Duy Quang, his complicated past and fear of being abandoned lead him to hide his feelings behind harsh words and controlling behavior. Meanwhile, Thạch Thị schemes to seize power by changing the heir and repeatedly teams up with Hương Tràm to torment Duy Quang. Pushed to his limit, Duy Quang tries to end his life by jumping from a building and loses his memory. He is then taken in and gently cared for by Lương Thùy and Vương. After dealing with those responsible, Quang Huy finally sets aside his pride and sharpness and begins a long, painful journey to heal Duy Quang and win back his love.
