University student Ngo Hoan Hoan unexpectedly travels back to ancient times and disguises herself as a man to study at a library. There, she and her friends Duong Van Khoi and Ky Thien face countless laughable and tearful situations. The three resolve to change the unfair state of education by founding a private school that admits everyone regardless of family background, even opening its doors to girls and waiving tuition fees. Despite many obstacles, they persist in bringing modern educational ideals into ancient times, so that everyone has a chance to learn.
