The Female Assassin and Her Fake Husband
40 episode · 40/40 tập
Bui Thuy Chi is the most ruthless yet tragic "cleaner" of the Alliance, a New York mafia power. Cold and blood-hardened, she always completes her missions flawlessly. Yet behind this facade lies a deadly secret. At 15, her adoptive mother Dang Kieu Trinh turned her into the subject of a "living lab experiment" by injecting her with a neurotoxin. Since then, Thuy Chi has suffered from severe sexual addiction: every 72 hours she must be with a man or her mind will completely collapse. To survive, she keeps changing partners during robberies and killings. Le My Duyen, the legitimate daughter of the family, discovers her secret and uses it as leverage, luring Thuy Chi into recording intimate videos with Cao Van Khoi, a low-ranking servant rumored to have AIDS. But the closer Thuy Chi gets to Van Khoi, the more she realizes this man deemed "useless" is hiding a deep secret. To escape his control, the two agree to a fake marriage. Yet within this fabricated bond, genuine feelings slowly begin to blossom.
