Lieu Thi Minh Thu, a newlywed, is found to have an intact hymen, so her husband Ha Van Cuong takes her to gynecologist Chau Minh Phuong for hymen-stretching treatment. Hiding behind a veil of medical care, Chau Minh Phuong crosses every professional boundary, and eventually brings in two assistants to carry out brutal, exploitative procedures on her body. Lieu Thi Minh Thu then uncovers a shocking truth: Ha Van Cuong had taken bribes and colluded with the clinic, treating her as nothing more than a pawn in their corrupt dealings. She bravely decides to report to the police and file a lawsuit. Everyone involved is found guilty and sentenced to prison, and Lieu Thi Minh Thu finally overcomes her psychological trauma to build a new life on her own terms.
