Knocking at the Door: Jiang Nuan and Qin Muyuan's Regret
97 episode · 97/97 tập
Jiang Nuan, desperate to raise money for her gravely ill mother's urgent surgery, is forced to agree to a deal with Cheng Wanru: to sell her first night to pay for the operation. Jiang Nuan sleeps with Qin Muyuan in Cheng Wanru's place. Afterward, she rushes to the hospital with the surgery money, only to find her mother has already passed away. Overwhelmed by grief, Jiang Nuan is forcibly taken abroad by bodyguards arranged by Cheng Wanru. Months later, Jiang Nuan discovers she is pregnant, and her life seems to regain hope. But when Cheng Wanru finds out, she fakes a pregnancy and leaves the country to 'recuperate,' when in truth she bribes a doctor to steal Jiang Nuan's baby during the delivery, deceiving Jiang Nuan into believing her child was stillborn. Cheng Wanru takes the baby and passes him off as her own child with Qin Muyuan. Five years later, Jiang Nuan returns home as a top designer. She has no idea her child is alive, nor that the man who was with her that night was Qin Muyuan. By coincidence, she buys a home right next to Qin Muyuan's. Upon her return, she runs into Qin Muyuan and his son, Qin Xiaoyan. Qin Xiaoyan was merely a tool Cheng Wanru used to get close to Qin Muyuan, so Cheng Wanru treats him poorly, and Qin Xiaoyan dislikes her in return. Although Qin Muyuan has granted Cheng Wanru the status of fiancée, he still refuses to marry her.
