After three years of trials, hidden away in the slums, Vince Astor rises as America's Godfather, inheriting a fortune of 20.9 billion. Helen Stark, the female CEO whose life he saved two years ago, proposes to him on the street. Yet he keeps his identity hidden, playing a drifter who follows her home, silently enduring the mockery of her family and watching them pressure her into marrying Philip West. Gradually, his power is revealed: a bank chairman kneels, a 1-billion contract is seized with ease, and the second most powerful figure must kiss his ring. In the end, Helen still chooses him, loving only his true self.
