Valentina, daughter of a mafia boss, falls for middle-class Ethan. She hides her identity, works her way through university and quietly clears the path for his career. But Ethan's mother, Mrs. Hayes, looks down on her, sets him up with Carlotta, heiress to the Pierce conglomerate, and arranges for the two of them to study abroad together. Ethan vows to marry Valentina when he returns. Back home, Valentina builds her own company, growing it into a powerful conglomerate within four years, intending to give it to him as a gift. But four years later, Ethan comes back with Carlotta and a child. At the welcome party, Valentina is humiliated in front of everyone by Ethan and his family. Furious, she vows revenge and ends all business ties. Outside her company, Ethan's family hurls insults again, until Valentina's secretary reveals she is the CEO. They immediately grovel and beg for forgiveness. Just then, Carlotta's cousin appears, boasting that his father is a lackey of the mafia boss and threatening to bring down Valentina's group. Later, at the mafia boss's daughter's birthday party, Ethan's family insults her once more. But when the boss steps out, Valentina's true identity is finally revealed. Despite Ethan and his family's tearful pleas, their fate is to be executed by the mafia.
