1987: The Brick Factory Canteen's Downfall
81 episode · 81/81 tập
In 1987, Zhao Weidong returned to his hometown and spent everything he had, running around to help his poor friend Lin Guoqiang take over the canteen of a brick and tile factory. Under his management, the canteen thrived. But Lin Guoqiang and his wife, greedy and ungrateful, used 12,000 yuan of capital to force Zhao Weidong out, hoping to monopolize the profits. Zhao Weidong withdrew calmly, taking with him his network of connections, suppliers, customers and reputation. The Lin couple only saw what was in front of them, cutting costs and secretly using substandard ingredients, focused only on short-term gains. They did not realize that the canteen's foundation was its quality resources and relationships. Before long, business declined, and the once-prosperous canteen collapsed completely, leaving the two of them back in poverty.
