Tieu Hon Tuyet, the beautiful young lady of the Tieu noble family, is bathing when she receives word about a boy she once helped years ago. Now, however, he has become a beggar. Without a word, Tieu Hon Tuyet sets out to find him. When she arrives, the scene leaves everyone stunned: Ly Thien Menh is begging on the street while the villain Wei Ba has knocked over his bowl. Ly Thien Menh's eyes turn cold as he thinks, "Dare to touch me, and you're sure to regret it." He plans to strike Wei Ba viciously, but just then Tieu Hon Tuyet appears with striking presence and kneels to propose to Ly Thien Menh right in the middle of the street. Moved by the beautiful, grateful young woman, Ly Thien Menh agrees and returns with her to the Tieu family. However, the Tieu family is furious, believing their daughter from a distinguished clan would wed a beggar, bringing shame upon them. They offer two choices: abandon Ly Thien Menh or leave the Tieu family. Ly Thien Menh declares: "If my wife and I join the Tieu family right now, that will be the moment the Tieu family regrets it!"
