The Journey of Transformation
71 episode · 71/71 tập
Tran Phi Hong has devoted half his life to martial arts, fighting everywhere to claim the title of "Greatest Under Heaven," and at last reached the pinnacle of the martial world. Yet on the day of his glorious return, his wife and child had been brutally killed, and the murderer mocked him: "You couldn't even protect your own family, how dare you call yourself the Greatest Under Heaven?" In despair, he sealed his meridians with nine silver needles and became a wandering cripple, until Du Wanr, the daughter of a grain merchant, rescued him. When a gang of thugs planned to massacre the Du family and seize the relief grain, Tran Phi Hong intended to stand aside, but to repay Du Wanr's life-saving kindness, and enraged that the bandit trampled his daughter's jade pendant, the last keepsake of his child, he forced out the first needle and fought a bloody battle against the enemy. Amid the turmoil, a greater torment arrived: the warlord Tao Hien forced the surrender of grain, hiding behind him the killer of Tran Phi Hong's wife and child; Japanese pirates invaded the border and Thanh Chau faced the threat of slaughter; the old demons of the "Greatest Under Heaven" and his newly reborn martial faith clashed fiercely... Each needle released, each layer of martial spirit slowly reborn. From striking out for personal vengeance, to fighting for the weak, then leading troops against the Japanese pirates, Tran Phi Hong finally realized: "The true peak of a martial master is not an empty title, but the pillar of the people; a true hero acts for the nation and its people."
